Recommended by a friend, we tried it Jan 2. The food was good to awesome. My husband's fish and chips was good, my friend's Chinese fried rice dish was a little weird with a fried egg on top (?) but tasted great. I had the best butter chicken I've had in the capital region! The owner brought me a bowl of "gravy" to test the heat before I ordered. It was spicy and flavorful without super heat. My mouth wasn't on fire. We will definitely go back and will recommend it to friends. This business deserves to do well.

I walked in and was underwhelmed by the decor -- a sparsely decorated, 70s-feeling dining hall (which BTW appealed to this nostalgic 63-year-old). No restaurant-chain commercialism, no gimmicks. Within minutes, I began to be pleasantly greeted and welcomed by the staff, all three, eventually. Then I had a wonderful California Benny plate, with basic (previously frozen) potato side and a very generous side medley of fresh fruit. Bennies were well presented, with yummy bacon, avocado and sauce. Nice!

Happy to see a new restaurant in Brentwood! Very friendly service and good food. Loved the veggie burger. Still in the soft opening phase, but we are looking forward to seeing the full menu (:

We had a great breakfast here this morning. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service excellent, and the prices were more than reasonable especially given the serving sizes. All four of us, each having different menu items, did the same thing about our meals.

Unexpectedly delightful. Very quiet when we arrived. We were promptly seated and provided with coffee and water while we perused the menu. A good selection of menu items with a focus on popular dishes. Lighter fare is an option. Staff were attentive and friendly. Order was promptly and efficiently presented. This diner has reinvented itself several times over the decades. This version is unpretentious, comfortable, and a good choice for a tasty, satisfying meal.

I waited to write a review until The Garden Fork had been open for a few months and had a chance to begin to settle. However, we started going there the first week they were open and have been several times since at different times of day and through several iterations of their (still developing?) menu. It is quickly becoming a family favourite dining spot! Although there are still some growing pains (occasional longer wait times after ordering, and once an underdone burger, addressed by Karan personally), overall we are loving this new restaurant in Brentwood! We have enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner there, in both small and large groups, and the service has always been pleasant and attentive and the food excellent. Twice we have been with a group larger than 10 and the staff are very accommodating of large reservations. Personally I try to order something different on each visit, and everything I've tried has been amazing. So far some of our favourite dishes have been the chicken and brie burger, the soup and sandwich daily special and the chicken tenders. On the newest menu (since Dec 19, 2025) the salmon tacos were excellent and we were pleased to see a new Kids' Menu on our last visit. The Garden Fork have been improving all aspects of their dining experience since opening and our family hopes they stay for a long time!

Koodoos to The Garden Fork on West Saanich Road! My sister and I had an amazing breakfast and the service friendly and fast. Sis had Crab Bennie and I had the regular. Sorry, only her breakfast made it to out, I was hungry! Definitely 100% will be returning

Had been here this afternoon. We ordered a Tuna Tataki, Korean Chicken rice bowl and a Salmon Omelette with potato wedges. Tuna Tataki was the highlight. Forgot to take a picture of it as well were very hungry. This appetizer was perfectly cooked and presented. The Korean Chicken rice bowl was equally amazing with a good blend of mushrooms, edamame and bell peppers. The salmon omelette had a very smoky flavor that reminded me of my childhood backyard barbeques. The wait time was pretty longer than usual, but that's understandable. Given they are still in the process of opening up fully & are undergoing renovations. The ambience was average, but the food was awesomeFreshly served, hot and delicious. The staff was kind and friendly.
